TeleCommunication Systems has unveiled a new suite of 911 communications services for emergency responders.
The  Intrepid9-1-1 service is designed as a modular emergency communications tool to verify and route 9-1-1 voice calls and messages to public safety answering points, TCS said Monday.
Lynne Seitz, TCS safety and security group senior vice president, said the company build the product with a modular design for “jurisdictions seeking a phased approach to implementing a NextGen 9-1-1 system.”
Seitz added that Intrepid9-1-1 combines TCS Gemini and microDATA xSR into a single platform.
Intrepid9-1-1 is compatible with legacy NG9-1-1 components and other platforms, and features geographical information systems-based routing via location to service translation protocol.
TCS will help deploy the system via software-as-a-service and managed service models.
