The National Association of Federal Credit Unions Services Corp. has chosen Knowledge Consulting Group to provide cybersecurity consulting and penetration testing services for NAFCU members.
KCG said Monday it received the preferred partner designation from NAFCU Services after three committees of credit union CEOs conducted a review.
NAFCU Services President Randy Salser said KCG has shown commitment to its clients through its use of professional resources, project management techniques and evaluation processes.
“Financial institutions are primary targets for physical and cybersecurity attacks,” said KCG President Maryann Hirsch.
She said the company’s penetration tests aim to simulate “potential attack vectors and threat scenarios most likely to impact the overall credit union environment, from [information technology] systems to social engineering.”
KCG provides compliance and risk management services for government agencies and financial institutions and performed more than 200 penetration tests in 2014.
