Level 3 Communications and Comcast have inked a multi-year agreement to interconnect their networks in an effort to fulfill future customer requirements.
The companies said Thursday the partnership is meant to expand both companies’ existing network capacity to exchange Internet traffic between the two networks at present and in the future.
“We believe the agreement will benefit Level 3’s and Comcast’s customers for years to come,†said Jack Waters, chief technology officer for Level 3.
“Our companies share the goal of enabling a growing, secure and resilient interconnection environment,†added Waters.
