Frank Calderoni, formerly executive adviser, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Cisco, has been appointed CFO and EVPÂ of operations at Red Hat.
He will directly report to CEO Jim Whitehurst, oversee the company’s financial strategies worldwide and manage the operations and information technology groups, Red Hat said Monday.
Calderoni will succeed the retiring Charlie Peters as CFO on July 13 and brings more than three decades of business leadership and financial experience to his new role, according to the company.
He has held executive and CFO roles at technology and software firms such as SanDisk, QLogic and IBM.
Calderoni was recognized as one of the Best CFOs by Institutional Investor magazine for three consecutive years and Bay Area CFO of the Year for a Public Company by Larkin Street Youth Services and the San Francisco Business Times in 2013.
