Robert Burns, a 25-year veteran of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., has joined Deloitte‘s advisory group as director of banking and securities regulatory services portfolio.
He will work with U.S. and international clients to help them develop resolution planning, liquidity coverage, regulatory reporting, capital stress testing and credit risk management strategies in his new position, Deloitte said Friday.
Burns most recently served as FDIC’s deputy director and led agency reviews of living wills filed by systemically important financial institutions.
He has also managed the agency’s policy initiatives related to the Dodd-Frank Act as well as served as its lead representative at multiple large complex banking organizations during the financial crisis.
