Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Services UK has awarded a contract to Envitia to help develop a geospatial intelligence platform for the U.K.’s defense ministry.
Envitia said Wednesday the system will be designed to allow the U.K.’s military to search and retrieve geospatial intelligence data from their defense information infrastructure network terminals.
Mark Richardson, business development manager at Envitia, said the company, HP and the ministry aim to help improve the situational awareness capability for military servicemen through a GEOINT technology.
Envitia said the contract is part of the ministry’s Defense Geospatial Services program.
