turbine aircraftDynCorp International has widened its use of IFS-made applications in a bid to build capabilities for two of its aviation maintenance programs being used in Afghanistan in collaboration with the Defense Department.

The products added to the suite for the Pentagon operations include the IFS Fleet and Asset Management platform, IFS said Monday.

The tool works to keep track of aircraft assets through direct interface with DI worksites that retain supply depot and other technical data needed for maintenance work.

“We chose IFS Applications to gain a wider range of tools,” said Steven Schorer, DynCorp International president.

“Their solution enables us to increase our maintenance management and logistics functions, access information from multiple locations and empower our team members to best support our global customers.”
