CyberPoint International has received a four-year, $6 million contract from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to develop algorithms to test research tools of DARPA teams.
CyberPoint’s research and development team will work to identify potential algorithmic space and time problems in DARPA applications, CyberPoint said Tuesday.
“These algorithms will be automatically permuted using variant generators to produce a multiplicity of samples varying in size and complexity,†said Tom Hennen, CyberPoint’s principal investigator.
The Space/Time Analysis for Cybersecurity program aims to help analysts find “algorithmic resource usage vulnerabilities in software at levels of scale and speed great enough to support a methodical search for them in the software upon which the U.S. government, military, and economy depend,†DARPA says.
