BoeingLogo1 EbizBoeing has turned over its last training simulator for the C-17 Globemaster III military transport aircraft to the U.S. Air Force.

The company said Tuesday the military branch received the 28th C-17 aircrew simulator at Shepherd Field Air National Guard Base in West Virginia.

“Receiving our simulator avoids sending our local crews on temporary duty at other bases around the country to keep up their flying certifications,” said Lt. Col. John Poland.

According to the company, the aircrew stimulator completes the service’s C-17 training network, which is linked to other training systems used for cross-mission trainingair-force-tile-ad and multisite simulation operations.

The simulators are installed at 14 Boeing-built facilities that provide training on emergency procedures, mission planning and in-flight operation instruction for pilots and co-pilots.
