FedBid has updated its business-to-government online marketplace to include new tools designed to help agencies create and manage indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity or blanket purchase agreement contracts.
“BPAs and IDIQs are often used by government buyers to help leverage savings and streamline the process for purchasing frequently-used goods and services that are needed across their organizations,” Joe Jordan, FedBid CEO, said Tuesday.
The company developed the tools for acquisition personnel to manage contract vehicles by functional category as well as select multiple sellers to compete for purchasing orders.
FedBid’s platform also works to monitor contract activities and participants and notify buyers when an IDIQ or a BPA is close to reaching the maximum order threshold.
