Jacobs Engineering Group has been selected to supply project management resources for EDF Energy’s work to maintain nuclear power stations across the U.K.
The maintenance and life extension projects cover 15 nuclear reactors located at Dungeness, Hartlepool, Heysham 1 and 2, Hinkley Point, Hunterston, Sizewell and Torness power stations, East Kilbride and Gloucester technical centers, Jacobs said Tuesday.
The contract contains a five-year period of performance and two optional two-year extensions.
Bob Duff,a Jacobs group vice president, said the company would contribute global resources to help EDF Energy deliver safe services across the nuclear sites.
The power stations generate 8.8 million kilowatts combined.
