The Defense Industry Initiative on Business Ethics and Conduct has chosen Health Net Federal Services to join its steering committee to help craft policies aimed at promoting ethical conduct among companies that deliver services and supplies to the U.S. armed forces.
Health Net will also join as a member of the working group of DII, which is comprised of 77 signatory security and defense firms that secure $540 billion in annual federal funds, the company said Wednesday.
“Health Net Federal Services has been an active member of the DII for many years and is honored to be selected to represent the healthcare industry within the DII,†said Steve Tough, president of government programs for Health Net.
“We are proud to join the DII leadership to contribute to the continued culture of ethical and best business practices among all government contractors.â€
Health Net Federal Services helps oversee the Patient Centered Community Care platform in partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
The company also works to provide managed care services to active and retired military servicemen and their dependents in the North region under the Defense Department’s Tricare healthcare program.
