Neel Mehta
Peter Smith has held the position of president and CEO of American Systems since 2014 and serves on the company’s board of directors.
He joined American Systems in 1980 as a Systems EngineerProgram Manager and since then has held several key leadership roles such as chief operating officer, executive vice president and general manager, vice president and executive director, vice president of engineering, vice president and director.
Smith is also a member of TechAmerica’s public sector board of directors and the Professional Services Council board of directors.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from University of Massachusetts at Amherst and master’s degree in electrical engineering from George Washington University.
Smith was inducted into Executive Mosaic’s 2015 Wash100 list of influential leaders in the government contracting community.
