Cubic to Serve as Systems Integrator for UK Transportation Program

A business unit of Cubic Corp. will implement the Optimized Public Transport Integration System in support of Transport for Greater Manchester’s “Smarter Travel” efforts in the U.K.

The company said Thursday its transportation systems business will act as systems integrator to bring together software and services from local industry partners.

Cubic will work to deliver OPTIS and support projects for travel information and network efficiency to upgrade public transportation in the Greater Manchester region.

Its partners Cloud Amber, SilverRail and mxData will provide information management and journey planning applications as well as the user interface for OPTIS, Cubic said.
