A business segment of Cubic Corp. has won a potential $5.5 million contract to provide a technology for Canada’s army to tailor the C16 Automatic Grenade Launcher System for use in combat training operations.
Bill Toti, president of Cubic Global Defense, said Tuesday the adaptation technology is designed to “enable soldiers to truly train as they fight.â€
The system adaptation, which satisfies AGLS weapon specifications, “goes beyond traditional laser engagement by combining existing simulation techniques, information from the weapon system and state-of-the-art technology to produce high-quality instrumentation,” Toti added.
The contract secured by Cubic Global Defense is part of the Weapon Effects Simulation platform.
