Battelle is offering a new service that provides predictive analytics and risk mitigation functions to help companies monitor their markets and make informed business decisions amid emerging market trends.
The company said Monday the SmartVision tool works to track information such as brand perception and consumer sentiment and analyze how these and emerging science can shape the marketplace and regulatory environment.
“In today’s digital society, the majority of data needed to make strategic business decisions exists outside of an organization in unstructured formats,” noted Nancy McMillan, manager of advanced analytics and health research at Battelle.
SmartVision helps identify market risks and opportunities by collecting unstructured data from social media and other sources of public information via a method called horizon scanning, then pairing them with human subject-matter expertise, Battelle said.
According to the company, SmartVision subscribers will receive customized weekly and monthly reports that indicate emerging trends and opportunities in the market.
