Unisys Corp. has received ISO/IEC 20000 certification for the company’s framework to deliver managed information technology services under an Internal Revenue Services enterprise storage initiative.
The company’s federal systems business hosts petabytes of agency storage space in private cloud using ISO-qualified processes, Unisys said Tuesday.
IRS awarded Unisys Federal Systems a potential $139 million contract in 2012 for IT management services.
The unit also attained a similar certification for its approach to providing data center services to the U.S. Defense Department through the Defense Finance and Accounting Service Desktop Management Initiative.
Unisys said it also helped the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention obtain ISO/IEC 20000 certification for the agency’s midtier data center in Atlanta in 2010.
