Leidos has been awarded a $50 million contract to manage documentation of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps’ aircraft home basing actions.
The company’s engineering business will perform the environmental planning and mission operations support activities in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act through 2020 under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, Leidos said Monday.
Laura Obloy, senior vice president and operations manager of Leidos’ environmental science and engineering operation, said the company intends for the contract to help the clients boost their aircraft mission readiness while maintaining “environmental protection into the future.â€
Leidos will also analyze aircraft home basing, renovate airfield facilities and realign bases.
The company will perform work at the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Atlantic’s area of responsibility and in the U.S., Caribbean, Europe and North Africa.
