Rockwell Collins has been selected to provide an avionics architecture for the Argentine military’s fleet of C-130 military transport planes.
L-3 Communications serves as the prime contractor in Argentina’s C-130 systems modernization program and partnered with Rockwell Collins to integrate new avionics into the aircraft, Rockwell Collins said Wednesday.
The contract covers upgrades to C-130 flight displays and management system, satellite communication radios, ground mapping radars, traffic collision avoidance technology, and terrain awareness and warning systems.
Rockwell Collins said its Flight2 avionics platform is designed to comply with communication, navigation, surveillance and air traffic management standards.
