Kathleen Alyce Waters to Lead Health Net’s Corporate Legal Functions; Jay Gellert Comments

Kathleen Alyce Waters, formerly a partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, has joined Health Net as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary.

She will lead the company’s corporate legal functions and report to President and CEO Jay Gellert when she starts on April 27, Health Net said Wednesday.

Waters will succeed the retiring Angelee Bouchard.

Gellert said the company looks forward to Waters’ guidance as Health Net continues to navigate the Affordable Care Act.

Waters served as a partner at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison before she joined Morgan, Lewis & Bockius.
