A Huntington Ingalls Industries subsidiary has been awarded a $5.4 billion contract to engineer Kinder Morgan‘s Trans Mountain pipeline system across two provinces in Canada.
UniversalPegasus International will work to expand the pipeline system between Edmonton in Alberta and Burnaby in British Columbia, Huntington Ingalls said Thursday.
Kinder Morgan operates a nearly 84,000-mile pipeline network and 180 terminals.
“UPI would like to thank Kinder Morgan for the continued trust in the reliability and predictability of our services to support this significant project,” said Tony Griffin, UPI’s senior vice president of Canadian operations.
