FireEye has launched the Fuel Cyber Security Coalition as part of the expansion of its Fuel partner program to integrate efforts to protect joint customers from cyber attacks through workflow and threat intelligence sharing.
The company said Monday the coalition will facilitate sharing of information on threat actors using FireEye Community Threat Intelligence to help security and infrastructure vendors protect their data and intellectual property.
“Expanding Fuel with the Cyber Security Coalition extends FireEye’s security platform to a broader community of organizations that rely on our threat intelligence insights for protection against today’s new breed of cyber attacks,” said David DeWalt, FireEye chairman and CEO.
FireEye has also partnered with Check Point Software Technologies in a separate cyber information sharing effort, which will enable the FireEye NX platform to interoperate with Check Point’s ThreatCloud and Next Generation Threat Prevention offerings.
“This partnership is as a model for vendor cooperation that will help enterprises defend themselves against the most sophisticated cyberattacks,” DeWalt said.
Also, FireEye has entered into a go-to-market partnership with HP to deliver threat protection services from FireEye and HP as well as incident response and compromise assessment offerings from HP and Mandiant.
