Timothy Murphy, a former FBI deputy director and previous vice president of corporate compliance at MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings, has joined Praescient Analytics’ board of directors.
Murphy began his career with the FBI as a special agent and later served as associate deputy director and chief financial officer before he was named deputy director, Praescient said Tuesday.
“Tim has over two decades of law enforcement and investigatory expertise on matters of national importance gained through his extensive career with the [FBI] and private industry,” said Yvonne Soto, Praescient Analytics’ chief operating officer.
He was responsible for the operational aspects FBI’s counterterrorism, counterintelligence, criminal, cyber and intelligence programs.
Murphy also oversaw the bureau’s human resources, training, strategy management, facilities management, records management, security, financial management, information technology, inspection, internal audit and leadership development aspects.
