PartnershipFinmeccanica-owned DRS Technologies has teamed with Beth-El Industries, and Israeli supplier of environmental threat protection systems, to develop an air filtration product for U.S. military use.

Under the terms of the deal, the two companies will create new offerings to utilize Arlington, Virginia-based DRS’ chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense systems and Beth-El filtration technology, DRS said Tuesday.

“DRS is always striving to offer the best protection for our troops,” said Roger Sexauer, president of maritime and combat support systems at DRS.

“We look forward to expanding our protection systems for the warfighter and giving them an extra peace of mind.”

DRS also said Tuesday it will bring Rada Electronic Industries’ active electronically scanned array radar technology to the North American market through a separate agreement with the Israeli tactical radios supplier.

Joseph Matteoni, vice president and general manager of DRS’ sustainment systems business, said Rada’s technology is designed to offer hostile-fire protection and detection technology for the warfighter.
