Doreen Harwood, formerly a program executive officer at the U.S. National Security Agency, has joined Leidos as manager of assurance, integration and manufacturing operations within the integrated systems group.
The more than 35-year federal government veteran will lead the organization that provides system integration and deployment, agile development, adaptive manufacturing and cyberspace services in the intelligence market, Leidos said Monday.
“Her breadth of expertise and knowledge in the intelligence community will have an immediate impact in accelerating our efforts in the cybersecurity market,” said Lou Von Thaer, president of Leidos’ national security sector.
Harwood most recently served as NSA PEO for collection, high performance computing and research activities and worked with mission and technology client organizations in that role.
She also held positions within the agency’s signals intelligence directorate, where she supported the global war on terrorism and counterterrorism missions.
She also worked to facilitate agency-wide acquisition reform at the U.S. Defense Department and oversaw the expansion of a distributed enterprise network at the NSA/Central Security Service Pacific.
Harwood is also an NSA Acquisition Corps member and holds a Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act level III certification in program management.
