Smartvue will deploy Microsoft‘s Azure Government platform to support cloud-based video surveillance services for government and military agencies in the U.S.
The companies will combine cloud and video surveillance technology to provide agencies with scalability and data storage functions designed to secure sensitive data, Smartvue said Monday.
“Smartvue is the first U.S. company authorized to offer enterprise cloud video surveillance solutions on the Microsoft Cloud for Government,” said Richard Zak, director of justice and public safety solutions at Microsoft.
Azure Government is part of the Microsoft Cloud for Government offering.
The cloud surveillance service works to separate government data storage and computer power from other servers and control access to them, Smartvue said.
