Raytheon will support technology development for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency‘s Arrays at Commercial Timescales program under two contract modifications worth a total of $5 million.
The company said Tuesday it will contribute its Rapid Array Performance Improvement and Deployment technology concepts to the program.
RAPID works to address cost and time concerns with performance upgrades and phased array development and deployment using customizable building blocks, Raytheon added.
Paul Ferraro, vice president of advanced technology programs at Raytheon’s integrated defense systems business, said the company supports DARPA’s work in boosting the affordability and upgradability of radar array architectures.
