PV Puvvada, president of Unisys‘ federal systems business, has received Federal Computer Week’s Eagle Award as the industry recipient for 2015 for his work in federal government information technology.
Unisys said Monday Puvvada has led the company’s IT programs with agencies such as the Justice Department, General Services Administration and Internal Revenue Service.
He has also contributed his technology leadership experience as board member of the Professional Services Council and chairman of the Industry Advisory Council.
“He’s been at the forefront of the big issues – cloud computing, big data, unified communications, mobile applications and cybersecurity,” said David Wennergren, PSC senior vice president for technology.
“But he’s perhaps best known for his willingness to serve.”
Wennergren, who is an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2015, presented the Eagle Award to Puvvada during the awards gala on Thursday.
