Orbital ATK will provide aircraft modification services and logistics support for the Lebanese air force’s Cessna C-208B Caravan Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance fleet under a foreign military sale contract through the Defense Department.
The company said Thursday the contract covers the addition of Hellfire missiles to provide the aircraft with strike functions.
Bill Kasting, vice president and general manager of the defense electronic systems division of Orbital ATK’s defense systems group, said the company has provided other international customers with the modified C-208 system for at least four years.
Orbital ATK said it offers the strike capability modification package as part of its Special Mission Aircraft portfolio alongside integrated ISR and other weapons employment packages.
