centurylink logoCenturyLink has unveiled its new CenturyLink Technology Center of Excellence in Louisiana, which will house the company’s cloud, network and information technology staff beginning March 26.

The company said Tuesday the three-story facility covers an area of 300,000 square feet and includes a network operations center, a technology research and development laboratory as well as office and meeting space.

“As CenturyLink transitions from a traditional network communications provider to a growing, integrated provider of advanced IP-enabled network, cloud, hosting and IT services, it will be increasingly important that we are able to attract the best talent in the world,” said Glen Post III, president and CEO of CenturyLink.

“We believe the technology center will help us accomplish this transition successfully.”

Post noted that the center’s R&D hub will host the development and testing of new CenturyLink technologies, while the customer experience center and executive briefing center will support product demonstration and sales activities.

Moody Nolan provided the architectural design and Yates Construction managed the construction of the CenturyLink Technology Center of Excellence, which seeks to establish an environment for collaboration and innovation.

CenturyLink said the center is under consideration for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for its sustainable design in areas such as water efficiency, materials and resources, energy and environmental impact.
