Exelis has been selected to implement its predeparture sequence planner at Singapore’s Changi Airport in a move to help the international hub achieve gate pushback times for departing aircraft.
Frank Koehne, managing director of Exelis Orthogon, said Friday the Osyris predeparture sequence planner is designed to minimize aircraft queue lengths and taxiing time in order to predict the flow of traffic to the runways.
“It achieves this while considering the operational constraints on the airport surface and in the surrounding airspace,†added Koehne.
Changi Airport will also adopt Exelis’ Airport Collaborative Decision Making service to build up its airport airside flow and capacity management.
Airport and aircraft operators, ground handlers, air traffic control and network operations collaborate to share data under the A-CDM concept, Exelis says.
