Neel Mehta
Dan Allen is the chairman and CEO of Serco Inc. — the British services contractor’s North American subsidiary — and brings more than three decades of experience in leadership roles at multiple intelligence and information technology firms to his current position.
In this capacity, he oversees approximately 10,000 people who provide communication and information systems, logistics, program management, human capital management, transportation and infrastructure support to public and private sector clients.
Allen, an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 list for 2015, joined Serco Inc. in October 2013 after serving in president and CEO roles at CACI International.
He also served as chief operating officer and president of CACI’s U.S. operations.
Before CACI, he worked as sector vice president and general manager of Northrop Grumman‘s intelligence systems business, where he led the organization’s work to deliver specialized intelligence and cyberspace systems as well as operations and enterprise IT services across the government sector.
He also held management positions at General Dynamics‘ information technology unit, GTE Government Systems and TRW, where he started his career.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Maryland, as well as a master’s degree in computer science from Johns Hopkins University and a master’s degree in national resource strategy from National Defense University.
