Dell Unveils Cloud Access Manager With Context-Based Controls; John Milburn Comments

Dell has launched the latest version of the Dell One Identity Cloud Access Manager featuring the company’s Security Analytics Engine, support for the OpenID Connect protocol, Microsoft certification for Office 365 interoperability and social authentication functions.

The company said Monday CAM 8.0 works to enable organizations to control access to Web and mobile applications based on contextual information while facilitating continued business agility.

“To maintain secure access at all times, it is critical for IT to have a view of the context surrounding access activities, including access policies, time of day and manageability of the device,” said John Milburn, executive director of identity and access management at Dell’s security business.

“When changes in context occur, access security can be adapted in real time.”

CAM 8.0 also supports single sign-on using social media logins for the user’s convenience, Dell said.
