CGI (NYSE: GIB) has been awarded a four-year, $32.5 million contract to update the Virginia State Corporation Commission’s systems, processes and reporting for Virginia’s businesses.
The company will partner with SCC on the Commission 2.0 initiative aimed at standardizing business processes and enterprise access to documents and data, CGI said Thursday.
Mark Boyajian, CGI senior vice president, said the company intends for the partnership to continue helping the SCC achieve its public mission.
The SCC sets rates for investor-owned utilities and serves as the central filing office for businesses in the commonwealth, among other regulatory functions,
CGI will work with SCC to achieve productivity gains, enhance customer service and deliver a modernized platform.
