The Professional Services Council purchased the TechAmerica Foundation from CompTIA in a deal that sees the foundation’s annual Vision Forecast and Conference and other initiatives continue under the auspices of the PSC.
“As we evaluated our strategic direction, we recognized that the activities of the TechAmerica Foundation could be better served by an organization aligned to maximize the value of these key resources,†Todd Thibodeaux, CompTIA’s president and CEO, said Monday.
Other TechAmerica Foundation programs that will now become a part of the PSC include the foundation’s annual survey of chief information officers, a technology awards dinner, research projects that examine technology issues within the federal sector and the Defense Strategic Planning Forum.
“The TechAmerica Foundation, its programs and research are all highly regarded. Moreover, they naturally align with our mission and our organizational model,” PSC President and CEO Stan Soloway said.
“As such, there is enormous potential to build on those legacies and we are committed to doing so.”
