Rick Lipsey, a former vice commander of the 24th Air Force within U.S. Cyber Command, has taken the role of senior strategic cyber lead at nonprofit government consulting firm LMI.
He will lead LMI’s efforts to expand its cyber-related portfolio, the company said Wednesday.
“Decisions about how to integrate technology and mitigate cyber threats are fundamentally operational exercises that require leadership engagement and mission focus to ensure success,” Lipsey said.
LMI noted that Lipsey has worked to integrate operations with technology through his work on cyber warfare and support at the Defense Department.
He has published a book titled “Network Warfare Operations: Unleashing the Potential” and serves as the vice president of programs of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association’s Alamo chapter.
