Lockheed Martin, Orange County, Fla.’s public school district and a nonprofit organization have partnered to launch a new STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education program, Orlando Business Journal reported Monday.
Matthew Richardson writes Lockheed is scheduled to announce the program on Thursday at Walker Middle School, Orlando, in partnership with Project Lead the Way.
Project Lead the Way has established STEM programs in more than 6,500 schools across the nation, the report says.
The Journal reports Lockheed also supports Otronicon’s exhibit at Orlando Science Center that features the development of modeling and simulation devices.
