IBM has launched its new in-Hadoop analytics offering that works to leverage the R language, machine learning and data science functions to help enterprises extract business insights from their data.
The company said Tuesday the IBM BigInsights for Apache Hadoop product supports data querying and visualization at an enterprise scale.
“In our fast-paced world, the ability to turn data into insight is the difference between success and failure,” said Beth Smith, general manager of IBM’s analytics platform business.
IBM BigInsights for Apache Hadoop includes the IBM BigInsights Analyst, IBM BigInsights Data Scientist and IBM BigInsights Enterprise Management modules to find data, identify patterns, allocate resources and manage workflows for the enterprise.
IBM is also offering the IBM Open Platform with Apache Hadoop with authentication and access controls as well as sponsoring new programming courses for its Big Data University.
