Mark-Dorfman_DRS-Technologies_EMMark Dorfman serves as executive vice president, general counsel and secretary at DRS Technologies.

In this position, Dorfman regularly provides advice and counsel to the board of directors and executive management of the company on legal and business matters and is responsible for the company’s legal and regulatory affairs, ethics and compliance programs and corporate governance activities.

He started at DRS in September 2005 as corporate counsel and was promoted to VP the following year.

In November 2009, Dorfman was promoted to senior VP, general counsel and secretary then was promoted to EVP in February 2011.

Prior to joining DRS, Dorfman was a corporate attorney at Lowenstein Sandler PC and Chadbourne & Parke LLP and represented corporate clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, public and private securities offerings, joint ventures and other complex transactions.

Dorfman regularly advised clients on securities law and corporate governance matters such as SEC filings and public disclosure, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and compliance with NYSE and NASDAQ corporate governance-related listing standards.

Dorfman supports NJ SEEDS, a non-profit organization that seeks to change the lives of motivated, high-achieving students from low-income families through educational opportunities.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in political sciences from Emory University and a juris doctorate from New York University’s School of Law.
