Esri has announced it will offer a geographic content management product to federal agencies through the company’s General Services Administration Schedule contract.
The company said Wednesday it designed the Data Appliance for ArcGIS to help customers view imagery, topographic maps, street-level data, elevations and shaded relief.
“Content is crucial to GIS, and the ability to provide a solution to those that have on-premises needs for security or performance concerns is fundamental for many organizations leveraging the ArcGIS platform,” said Dean Garner, Esri’s data appliance sales manager.
The appliance is also built to connect to an organization’s internal network as well as allow users to produce, share and publish map services.
Purchase options will be available to existing government customers of the ArcGIS for Server software and to clients who do not have the application, according to Esri.
