Research and Markets: Analytics to Drive Earth Observation Services Market

A new Research and Markets report predicts an increase in adoption of analytics in the satellite-based Earth observation services market in the U.S.

The market is expected to grow at a 7.65 percent compound annual rate between 2015 and 2019, Research and Markets said Tuesday.

The report also attributes the overall market growth to what Research and Markets calls a “rapid evolution of analytics in the earth observation space” and “enhanced image availability.”

The market research firm noted a rise in the development of satellites that are designed to capture images and transmit data for accurate predictions.

Research and Markets listed DigitalGlobe, MacDonald, Dettwiler & Associates and Skybox Imaging as the dominant market players.
