ImmixGroup will offer Brocade‘s network subscription product to federal government clients through its GSA Schedule contract as agencies turn to on-demand acquisition of IT products and services.
“Federal agencies face both financial and acquisition challenges when it comes to buying IT,” Steve Charles, a co-founder and executive vice president at immixGroup, said Wednesday.
The company said Brocade Network Subscription is a network-as-a-service offering that works to let agencies pay based on their needed network capacity but still includes scalability and upgrade functions.
Anthony Robbins, vice president of Brocade’s federal business, said adoption of network services in a subscription model can free up resources for agencies to invest in new technologies.
