Dan Nelson, formerly communications strategies lead at General Electric“™s digital energy business, has joined Lockheed Martin as vice president of worldwide media relations.
He will report to Jennifer Whitlow, senior VP of corporate communications, and serve as Lockheed“™s chief spokesperson and adviser to senior executives on media engagements, Lockheed Martin said Monday.
Nelson will also be responsible for the company“™s global media relations program and external communications strategy development efforts.
He most recently led General Electric“™s strategies to promote the business, managed executive communications, initiated employee engagement activities and handled reputation issues.
The 22-year communications veteran served as a spokesperson at the Justice Department, Commerce Department and the White House before he joined General Electric in 2007.
