CGI has been awarded a four-year contract to develop a technology to help British government agencies and contractors screen employees who aim to obtain security clearances.
The U.K.’s National Security Vetting Solution platform will be designed to manage more than 200,000 applications a year and check applicant information such as criminal records, address and financial status, CGI said Thursday.
CGI will build the NSVS system with an Oracle-based Cerberus application and to allow assessors and applicants to access the system using multiple devices.
The company will also provide technical support from its U.K.-based security operations center to monitor and secure the vetting infrastructure against cyber threats.
