Hughes Network Systems has released new satellite Internet service packages designed to offer small and midsize businesses download speeds of up to 15 megabits per second.
The Business Internet Select and Access Plans are intended to leverage the company’s HughesNet Gen4 satellite broadband network, Hughes said Tuesday.
“The new plans offer a substantial increase in data allowance to support the growing communications needs of businesses, and realign the usage times to focus on daytime hours when most business takes place,” said Sam Baumel, Hughes vice president for commercial sales and marketing in North America.
Hughes will also provide SMB customers free access to Express Repair Premium service and ZoneAlarm security platform for six months.
The company says it has delivered more than 4 million satellite-based networking systems to enterprise and government organizations worldwide to date.
