Oracle has earned provisional authorization to offer software as a service to U.S. government agencies through the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.
The FedRAMP Joint Authorization Board gave the company’s Service Cloud platform authority to operate following an audit by a third-party assessment organization, Oracle said Monday.
According to Oracle, the technology will work to help agencies implement customer-facing software applications in a FedRAMP-moderate cloud computing environment.
A panel of technical experts from the General Services Administration as well as the departments of Homeland Security and Defense reviewed the Oracle SaaS’ security features.
