Jay Stephens, senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary at Raytheon, is set to retire from the company at the end of March 2015.
Thomas Kennedy, Raytheon chairman and CEO, said Wednesday Stephens has supported the company“™s global business strategy, managed its risk profile, cultivated a culture of compliance and formed a team of business partners.
Stephens served Raytheon as SVP and general counsel for 12 years and as corporate secretary for the past eight years.
He was an associate attorney general of the U.S., deputy general counsel of Honeywell International, U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, deputy counsel to the president and a partner at a national law firm before joining Raytheon.
Raytheon is reviewing internal and external candidates to take the VP and general counsel role and plans to name Stephens“™ successor in early 2015.
