Robert Zitz is a senior vice president and chief systems architect at Leidos, tasked to help oversee development efforts on the company’s business, technology and technical plans, concepts and strategies.

He has more than three decades of experience in the intelligence community space, previously filling leadership roles at the Department of Homeland Security, Secret Service, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, National Reconnaissance Office, Central Intelligence Agency and Military Intelligence Corps.

As Secret Service deputy associate director from 2007 to 2009, Zitz catalyzed an increase in budget allocation and modernization efforts for the 146-year-old agency.

At DHS, he spent one year as deputy undersecretary managing the department’s preparedness work, including Cybersecurity, Ready.Gov and the Chief Medical Officer.

Zitz spearheaded research and development at NGA from 2001 to 2005, and was a key proponent of the multi-intelligence environment approach.
