Paul Lemmo serves as senior vice president of corporate strategy and business development at Lockheed Martin and elevated to the position in early July 2013.
The more than 25-year defense industry veteran leads a business organization that has offices in 25 U.S. cities and 25 countries.
Prior to this promotion, he served as business development VP for the information systems and global solutions business and he led the business development and strategy organizations that identify and capture new business and develop the long range strategic and operating plans for the business area.
In that role, he oversaw the deployment and management of new business investments and provided direction to the defense, national and civil product lines.
Prior to that, from July 2008 through June 2011, Lemmo served as VP of BD and strategy for Lockheed’s mission systems and sensors business.
In that role, he was responsible for new business identification and acquisition, capture and proposal process management and managing relationships with customers in the executive and legislative branches of government.
This role included service as the capture executive for the company’s successful Littoral Combat Ship bid.
He also previously served as director of BD for Lockheed’s electronic systems business area.
Lemmo is a graduate of the General Electric Edison Engineering Program, which involved assignments in engineering and quality, leadership training and graduate education.
Lemmo received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Drexel University, Summa Cum Laude and holds an M.B.A. degree from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
