The Department of Veterans Affairs has put out a request for information on virtual learning software that could be used to train Chief Business Office Purchased Care employees.
According to the FedBizOpps sources sought notice posted on Oct. 23, the agency is looking to see if there are contractors for an online training tool that not only instructs and assesses but also promotes collaboration among learners.
The requirement includes course management capabilities, workshops for instructors and administrators, and managed hosting and technical support from the vendor.
CBOPC is also seeking a virtual learning environment that can be fully integrated into the VA Talent Management System, where most of its workforce currently receives training on policies, procedures and regulations.
“The intent of this contract is to implement a web-based training solution, a hosted classroom platform, to provide 24/7 access to knowledge and information, and provide innovative ways to foster learning anywhere at any time,” reads the statement of work.
“The software application will be used to virtually train CBOPC employees geographically located throughout the United States.”
